The Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation supports organizations that bring HOPE to those in need, and those who served to protect our nation.
WHAT WE DO
The Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation was established to provide for and to assure the continuation of the humanitarian and philanthropic values of the founders, Bob and Dolores Hope. We aim to positively impact the lives of those in need, including those who have served our country and communities, and enable them to advance in society.
We honor and preserve the “Spirit of Bob Hope” and his Legacy as an entertainer, comedian, patriot, humanitarian, philanthropist, golfer and supporter of U.S. military service members. Bob Hope took his talents to the center of a crisis and used them to heal by showing his compassion, empathy, uplifting spirit, and respect for country.
To reach and assure continuation of these goals, Bob and Dolores Hope provided direction and leadership of the Foundation during their lifetime. Today, it is managed and governed by people who share their attitudes, beliefs, and ideals as to the purposes and goals of partnering with other organizations to create community philanthropy.
We fund programs and services through grants, which address basic needs (food, shelter, clothing etc.), behavioral health, and educational opportunities that foster financial independence and self-sufficiency for low to moderate income families.
Our Vision is grounded in the Founders’ values of legacy and service. It believes in a shared commitment to a responsibility and respect for all families. The Foundation values optimism and perseverance in the face of hardship and challenge.
